Irv Gotti Drops Ashanti From The Inc.

Ashanti was once a top tier R&B act, but after taking fours years off, she wasn't able to recapture the success she's had in the past with last year's return, The Declaration.
The Princess of Irv Gotti's The Inc. label is now a free agent. Gotti recently revealed, during an interview with MTV, that he and Ashanti haven't spoken in a long while, and he's finally dropped her from his label.
"The relationship has run its course," Gotti said. "The chemistry of what's needed -- we're in two totally different places. You're talking to somebody that took her and shaped and molded her and put her out there for the world, and it blew up. We [hold the record] for the [fastest] selling debut by a female R&B artist -- 503 [thousand]. We did it! My views and philosophies and her views and philosophies are not meeting up."
According to Gotti, he had no input in last year's album from Ashanti, and that's the reason the project was her first studio album to not reach platinum sales.
Gotti says she strayed away from her winning formula, resulting in her worse effort to date.
"I personally believe for her to be successful, it took the energy ... when you seen her, it was 30 n****s around her, and she's the princess so nice and pretty walking through," he said. "The music was great, but it was the energy that was created. It wasn't just her standing there and singing a song.
"We don't really speak or talk or anything like that," he continued. "It's sad in a way. But in another, it's like it's all good."
Gotti went on to say that Ashanti needs "some guidance" to reach the success she saw in the beginning of career, and without that, he doesn't feel she can win.
I don't think she can win. She needs some guidance with that," Gotti added. "But she's not thinking like that. Really, I couldn't tell you what she's thinking. So that relationship has run its course and honestly, I'm gonna just drop her."

The Los Angeles Dodgers took a big hit Thursday (May 7), when news broke that their star outfielder Manny Ramirez was suspended for 50 games by the MLB in a sports drug scandal.
According to reports, Ramirez has tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs, resulting in the suspension.
In a statement released through baseball's players' union, Ramirez said the dirty test was the result of a medication prescribed by a doctor, and not from a steroid.

Nude Cassie Photos Hit The Web, Singer Reacts

Nude photos of the 22-year-old singer leaked to the web Wednesday (May 6), and quickly spread to numerous show biz blogs. The pics show Cassie naked from the waist up, laying on a bad with her nipple piercings exposed. They were taken more than a month ago, when she started popping up in public with a shaved head.
While some questioned the authenticity of the photos, Cassie confirmed they are real, when she addressed the leak via her Twitter profile.
"IT SEEMS THAT SOMEONE HAS HACKED INTO MY COMPUTER ... THAT'S REAL FOUL AND EVIL. NOW STOP ACTING LIKE YOU HAVEN'T SEEN A TITTY BEFORE," Cassie wrote.
Some bloggers seem to feel the leak was done internally as a way to help boost her music career, giving her widespread publicity.
In an official statement, released Thursday (May 7), the singer brushed off the leak, saying people need to grow up and move on.
"The recent personal pictures that have been leaked on the internet of me were hacked and stolen out of my computer," the statement read. "These photos were obviously never intended for the world to see and it's sad that people would really take time to steal and post them, it's just evil.

Detroit Elects NBA Hall Of Famer David Bing As New Mayor

Detroit voters elected a new mayor recently -- former NBA legend and Hall of Famer Dave Bing, who pledged to lead the city with integrity.
According to the Detroit Free Press, 65-year-old Bing, won 52% of the vote, while his opponent Ken Cockrel received 48 percent. Experts say Bing won by pulling in a lot of undecided voters -- roughly 14% of registered voters participated in the May 5 election.

In her blog entry posted during the early morning hours of Monday (May 4), Myspace vixen Tila Tequila addressed rumors of celebs she was linked to, revealing that there's one man in her life. His name is Ray J.
"There have been SO SO SO SO many rumors about me dating P. Diddy, Tyrese, to anyone you could possibly think of," she wrote to start. "So, I am taking to my blog to clear up all them rumors ok? I am not dating anyone of those guys.
"My real boyfriend is RAY J!!!!! Yes.....we've been dating for a while, but didn't want the media to find out cuz it's nobody's business, but since all these other random rumors starting poppin up that I'm dating so, and so, I finally felt that I needed to tell the world that rumors are NOT TRUE!!!!"
According to her post, she fell for Ray J because of the gentleman he is. Tila explained that he treats her with "respect and love," and makes her melt.
"No man has made me feel so loved and so happy in such a long time. We really do love each other and I am so happy to have FINALLY met someone who treats me with respect and love," Tila writes. "He is so sweet to me and makes me melt everytime I see him.......I love my baby......so there you have it! Tila Tequila is officially dating Ray J!!!!!! Trick Daddy On Rick Ross: ‘I Apologize For Not Raising My Son Properly’

It's no secret that there's been tension between Miami rappers Trick Daddy and Rick Ross for months, starting with rumors that Trick leaked the widely circulated photos of a pre-rap Rick Ross.
In an interview on Angela Yee's Shade 45 satellite radio show Wednesday morning (May 6), Trick denied those accusations, and later said that -- without him -- there would be no Rick Ross.
"The sad part about this is when the first corrections officer picture came out, about a week later I saw an interview, the interviewer said, 'So Rick Ross, how do you feel about Trick Daddy calling you a prison guard?' Time out," the rapper explained. "Ain't no way you went for that dumb ass sh** right there. The sad part is that that interview is three years old. You do the math?
"I just don't understand it, I was a big Ross fan and if you check all my interviews, you check the web, radio, I never sneak dissed him," Trick continued. "I always tell people I like Ross as an artist, even when he was Teflon Don. Whatever he wanted to be, I supported him. For him to try and assassinate my character?"
If you stay locked to the internet, or keep up with new Rick Ross music, you may have heard his record "Valley of Death," in which he says Trick Daddy has AIDS, not Lupus as he recently revealed.
"Caught a little case, buddy had a little cheddar," Ross raps on the diss." "Pled out to 15, poured his life in a letter / Very first line he called Trick Daddy stupid / Said he had AIDS, telling people that it's lupus / Not the one just to jump to conclusions / I'm getting money, small talk can be a nuisance."
Despite the diss, Trick has remained quiet, opting not to fire back at the Carol City rapper. But in the radio interview, he addressed the situation, calling Ross "disrespectful".
"I've been arrested and convicted of more crimes than he been pulled over and written a ticket for. When did I have time to be a pu***?" Trick asked. "What do you gotta use me as an example? I don't give a f*** who told you what. Don't mention my name in your raps. That's disrespectful.
"I'mma real Miami n****. I was born and raised in Miami. I'm not moving to no f***in' where. I'm not going nowhere. My studio was in Carol City for three years -- that whole three years that player hatin' sh** was going on," he continued.
Through the shots and all, Trick has taken the high road, but he now says that he's going by a new set of rules -- ass whoppings. So, respect him or suffer the consequences.
"The problem is police, snitches, n****s use 911. Your kids use 911 against you," Trick explained to Angela Yee. "Like I said, I'd like to apologize for not raising my son properly, but I got new rules. I'm going back to the old ass whopping days. I'm whopping all my kids' asses. Whoever it is, fake ass cartel, whoever you wanna send. I'mma have to start beating my kids' ass for disobeying me. Ass whoppings worked for me back in the days. You gonna have to start respecting us."

Lil Kim Booted From ‘Dancing With The Stars’

Lil Kim was finally booted from Tuesday (May 5) night's "Dancing with the Stars" on ABC.
Since the season's premiere, the 34-year-old rapper received high scores, but on Monday's performance -- in which she did the waltz -- viewers didn't vote for her ... enough.
Kim came into Tuesday's results show with the week's second-lowest score: 52 points out of 60. Rodeo champ Ty Murray was in last with 46 points, but viewers kept him there for next week's semifinal round. Along with Kim, her professional partner, Derek Hough, also saw his season come to an end. Despite losing, Kim had a smile on her face when she learned her fate.

I dont really watch the show but it seems like this was a huge shocker. I never knew little Kim was such a great dancer. LOL
